LANGLEY TOWNSHIP, BC – The sun-kissed fields of Langley Township and the majestic backdrop of surrounding mountain peaks provided a picturesque setting for the grand opening of Otter Trail Winery and Restaurant this past weekend. Nestled among vineyards on 248th Street and 56th Avenue, the establishment boasts stunning mountain views from its elegant winery bar and dining tables, rivaling the beauty of the Okanagan Valley and enhancing the enjoyment of the exquisite cuisine.
AJ Cheema, son of Surrey’s eminent family doctor and former minister Dr. Gulzar Singh Cheema, realized his long-held dream of combining food and wine amidst natural scenery with the opening of Otter Trail Winery and Restaurant. The grand opening, graced by special guests including Langley Township Mayor Eric Woodward, featured live music and showcased the restaurant’s unique charm.
AJ Cheema, CEO of Otter Trail Winery and Restaurant, explained that the establishment offers a diverse selection of white and red wines produced in local wineries, curated by Head Winemaker Stephanie, an expert on wine excellence and taste. Under the direction of Head Chef David, the restaurant’s menu features steak, chicken, whitefish, veggie salads, various pasta dishes, and other culinary delights for casual dining. The winery and restaurant are open for customer service four days a week, Thursday to Sunday, from 5 pm to 10 pm. Ample parking is available outside, including charging points for electric cars. The venue also accommodates weddings and a variety of other events.
