ਬੀਸੀ ਯੁਨਾਈਟਡ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਪਾਲ ਢੋਟ ਵਲੋਂ ਐਨ ਡੀ ਪੀ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰ ਕਾਹਲੋਂ ਦੀ ਹਮਾਇਤ
ਡੈਲਟਾ ( ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰ ਬਿ)- ਡੈਲਟਾ ਨਾਰਥ ਤੋਂ ਬੀ ਸੀ ਯੁਨਾਈਟਡ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਢੋਟ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਹਲਕੇ ਤੋਂ ਐਨ ਡੀ ਪੀ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰ ਰਵੀ ਕਾਹਲੋਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਮਾਇਤ ਦੇਣ ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕੇਵਿਨ ਫਾਲਕਨ ਨੇ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਚੋਣ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਭੰਗ ਕਰਕੇ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਵਰਕਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਰਾਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਕੇਵਿਨ ਫਾਲਕਨ ਵਲੋਂ ਬੀ ਸੀ ਕੰਸਰਵੇਟਿਵ ਦਾ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣ ਨੂੰ ਗਲਤ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਕਰਾਰ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਸਮਝਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਮੀਅਰ ਡੇਵਿਡ ਈਬੀ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਹੇਠ ਐਨ ਡੀ ਪੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵਧੀਆ ਕੰਮ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਬੀ ਸੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਿੱਤ ਵਿਚ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਐਨ ਡੀ ਪੀ ਅਤੇ ਡੈਲਟਾ ਨਾਰਥ ਤੋਂ ਐਨ ਡੀ ਪੀ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰ ਰਵੀ ਕਾਹਲੋਂ ਦਾ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸੇ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਰਵੀ ਕਾਹਲੋਂ ਨੇ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਪਾਲ ਢੋਟ ਵਲੋਂ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਫੈਸਲੇ ਦਾ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
DELTA — Amrit Pal Singh Dhot, former BC United candidate in Delta North, has endorsed Ravi Kahlon and the BC NDP in the 2024 provincial election.
He issued the following statement:
“I have been a BC Liberal for many years. I believe in bold and pragmatic action to make life better. I believe in a society where everyone is welcome and where the government takes action to tackle tough challenges and make life better.
Of the candidates remaining in this race, there is only one that matches those values. That’s David Eby’s BC NDP.
I will continue to work with Ravi in the future to ensure the betterment of North Delta. Improving our community has and will always be my priority, and I will continue to work for the people of North Delta.
This election is now between David Eby and John Rustad. John Rustad has promised to cut $4.1 billion from our healthcare, and many of his candidates have extreme views. That’s a risk to people in North Delta – one that my neighbours and I can’t afford.
I can’t get behind that. This time, I support Ravi Kahlon, David Eby and the BC NDP team.”
Ravi Kahlon, BC NDP candidate in Delta North, added:
“I wholeheartedly appreciate Amrit’s endorsement. We may not agree on everything, but we agree that John Rustad’s extreme views, and his proposal to cut $4.1 billion from our healthcare, is a risk to the wellbeing of people in North Delta, and across the province.
If you’re a former BC Liberal who’s feeling abandoned, and if you don’t like what you’re seeing come from Rustad and his party, if you want to build hospitals and homes instead of cancelling them, then you have a champion of the things that matter most to you: David Eby. We’re stronger together.”
