Premier David Eby visited Guru Nanak Food Bank Delta

Surrey-Today on March 3, 2023, Hon’ble Premier David Eby visited Guru Nanak food bank Delta along with mayor of Delta George V Harvie and Minister Harry Bains. After arriving at the store he was welcomed by Board of Directors of Guru Nanak Food Bank.
GNFB. General secretary, Neeraj Walia walked him through the store and mentioned that with help of our generous donors Guru Nanak Food Bank as successfully helped more than 10000 Recipients every month moreover, have served people with goods of worth 15 million dollars in the last 3years. He also mentioned that how International students are struggling these days for which Mr. Premier replied that he is aware of the current struggles and hustles of International Students and thanked the food bank for stepping forward and being a support system for them. Mr. Walia also mentioned that in the last 36 months GNFB served more then 20000 Welcome packages to the International Students.
Premier was curious to know how it all started and what all operations are going at present, while looking around the store he specially apricated that how GNFB keeps in mind all the basic necessary of the person and servers not only the basic groceries and also other essential like baby food and much more.
Sir, premier was elated and amazed after knowing about food banks work, he encouraged the team to keep good work going and thanked President  Narinder Singh for his vision to help the man kind.
After being knowledge about our future plans of starting Mobile food bank and Delta being permanent store. Sir David Eby expressed his sincere support for our future endeavors in his speech and said that Government will always be present to help the food bank how ever possible.
Adding to this, Sir George V Harvie informed everyone that the City of Delta will be arranging a Permanent New Store or Land in Delta once a Guru Nanak Food Bank’s leased ends for the current location.
Last but not the least Minister of Labor Harry Bains expressed his pride feeling for being a part of such a community who always stood first to help the humanity wherever and when ever needed.
