ਸਰੀ ( ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰ ਬਿ)– ਬੀਤੇ ਦਿਨ ਸਰੀ ਮਿਊਂਸਪਲ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਲਈ ਉਘੇ ਕਾਰੋਬਾਰੀ ਟਰੌਏ ਵੈਨ ਵਲੀਅਟ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਹੇਠ ਬਣੀ ਸਰੀ ਨਾਓ ਟੀਮ ਵਲੋਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਚੋਣ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਦਾ ਬਾਕਾਇਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਪੋਰਟ ਗੋਲਫ ਕਲੱਬ ਵਿਖੇ ਲਗਪਗ 350 ਤੋਂ ਉਪਰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਇਕੱਠ ਮੌਕੇ ਮੇਅਰ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰ ਟਰੌਏ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਟੀਮ ਅਤੇ ਕੌਂਸਲਰ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਜਾਣ ਪਹਿਚਾਣ ਕਰਵਾਈ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਸਰੀ ਨਾਓ ਟੀਮ ਦੇ ਚੋਣ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਸਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਵਚਨਬੱਧਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਹਰਾਇਆ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੀਆਂ “ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਸੜਕਾਂ, ਸਮਾਰਟ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ” ਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀਕੋਣ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਂਝਾ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਸ਼ਹਿਰੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਲੇਟ ਦੀ ਤਰਫੋ ਕੌਂਸਲ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਰੀ ਸਕੂਲ ਬੋਰਡ ਲਈ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ। ਆਪਣੀ ਚੋਣ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੇ ਚਾਰ ਮੁੱਖ ਉਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਉਜਾਗਰ ਕੀਤਾ:-
ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਗਲੀਆਂ: ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਉਪ-ਕਾਨੂੰਨ ਲਾਗੂ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਕਮਿਊਨਿਟੀ ਪੁਲਿਸਿੰਗ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਆਂਢ-ਗੁਆਂਢ ਦੀ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਤਰਜੀਹ ਦੇਣਾ।
ਸਮਾਰਟ ਵਿਕਾਸ: ਬੁਨਿਆਦੀ ਢਾਂਚਾ, ਆਵਾਜਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਰੀ ਦੇ ਤੇਜ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਆਬਾਦੀ ਵਾਧੇ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਤਾਲਮੇਲ ਬਣਾਈ ਰੱਖਣਾ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣਾ।

SURREY, BC — May 4, 2026 — On Saturday, May 2, the newly formed SurreyNow elector organization officially launched its campaign for the 2026 municipal election, drawing a capacity crowd of over 350 supporters to The Hills at Portal Golf Club (formerly Peace Portal Golf Course).
At the event, local builder and business owner Troy Van Vliet formally announced his candidacy for Mayor of Surrey. Standing alongside him was the full SurreyNow slate, a team of professionals committed to a vision of “Safe Streets, Smart Growth, and Strong Families.”
“Surrey is at a crossroads, and it deserves leadership that delivers practical results and long-term thinking,” said Van Vliet. “Our team is ready to bring accountability back to City Hall and ensure our growth is managed responsibly for the families who call this city home.”
