ਇਸਲਾਮਿਕ ਐਸੋਸੀਏਸ਼ਨ ਆਫ ਵੈਸਟਰਨ ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਵਲੋਂ ਮੇਅਰ ਬਰੈਂਡਾ ਲੌਕ ਤੇ ਟੀਮ ਦੇ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ

ਸਰੀ- ਬੀਤੇ ਦਿਨ ਇਸਲਾਮਿਕ ਐਸੋਸੀਏਸ਼ਨ ਆਫ ਵੈਸਟਰਨ ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੁਹੰਮਦ ਅਰਜਮੰਦ ਖਾਨ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਹੇਠ ਸਰੀ ਮੇਅਰ ਅਤੇ ਸਰੀ ਕੁਨੈਕਟ ਦੀ ਆਗੂ ਬਰੈਂਡਾ ਲੌਕ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਦੇ ਮਾਣ ਵਿਚ ਇਕ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਟੇਸਟ ਆਫ ਲਾਹੌਰ ਰੈਸਟੋਰੈਂਟ ਸਰੀ ਵਿਖੇ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਵੱਡੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਇਸਲਾਮਿਕ ਐਸੋਸੀਏਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਰੀ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਮੂਲੀਅਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਜਨਾਬ ਮੁਹੰਮਦ ਅਰਜਮੰਦ ਖਾਨ ਨੇ ਮੇਅਰ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਦਾ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕੀਤਾ  ਤੇ ਅਕਤੂਬਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਿਟੀ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਇਸਲਾਮਿਕ ਐਸੋਸੀਏਸ਼ਨ ਵਲੋਂ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਮੇਅਰ ਬਰੈਂਡ ਲੌਕ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਵਿਚ ਇਸਲਾਮਿਕ ਐਸੋਸੀਏਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਆਪਣਾ ਹੈ। ਜਿੰਮੇਵਾਰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਬਦੌਲਤ ਹੀ ਇਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਸਰਬਪੱਖੀ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਇਸਨੂੰ ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਦਾ ਬੇਹਤਰੀਨ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਹੇਠ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿਚ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਦੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਜੈਕਟਾਂ ਦਾ ਜ਼ਿਕਰ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਕਾਰਜਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗੇ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਸ਼ਹਿਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਿਰੰਤਰ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਵਿਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਹੈਰੀ ਬੈਂਸ, ਰੋਨਾ ਟੈਪਰ, ਰੌਬ ਸਟੱਟ, ਨੌਮੀ ਵਿਕਟਰੀਨੋ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਸਨ ਜਿਹਨਾਂ  ਦੀ ਮੇਅਰ ਬਰੈਂਡਾ ਲੌਕ ਨੇ ਮੰਚ ਤੋਂ ਜਾਣ ਪਹਿਚਾਣ ਕਰਵਾਈ ਤੇ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਦੀ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਜਸਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਟਵਾਲ, ਹੈਰੀ ਕੂਨਰ, ਯਾਸ਼ੀਨ ਵਾਹਲਾ ਤੇ ਕਮਿਊਨਿਟੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਹੋਰ ਹਸਤੀਆਂ ਵੀ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਸਨ।

Islamic Association of Western Canada announces support for Mayor Brenda Locke and team-
Surrey- Yesterday, under the leadership of Muhammad Arjamand Khan President of  Islamic Association of Western Canada  an event was organized at Taste of Lahore Restaurant in Surrey in honor of Surrey Mayor and Surrey Connect leader Brenda Locke and her team. A large number of Islamic Association members and people of the Surrey community participated in the event. Mr. Muhammad Arjamand Khan welcomed the Mayor and her team and announced the support of the Islamic Association in the October city elections. On this occasion, Mayor Brenda Locke, in her address, thanked the Islamic Association for its support and said that this city is yours. Only with the help of responsible citizens can this city be made the best city in Canada with all-round development. She mentioned the work done in the city under her leadership in the past and the major development projects. She urged that the continuous support of the citizens is needed to take these development works forward. Other team members including Mr Harry Bains, Rona Tapper, Rob Stutt, Naomi Victorino were present on the occasion.
