Surrey — Community volunteer and advocate Srikanth Mogulala has been recognized with a Community Work Appreciation Certificate from the City of Surrey, acknowledging his ongoing efforts to support community members, promote cultural diversity and bring people from different backgrounds together.
The recognition was presented by Mayor Brenda Locke, who highlighted Mogulala’s involvement in community initiatives, cultural celebrations, and his efforts to support people who need assistance and connect them with available resources and support.
“I am deeply honoured to receive this recognition,” said Srikanth Mogulala. “For me, community service is about bringing people together, celebrating our different cultures, supporting people when they need help, and making sure community members know they are not alone.”
Mogulala has been involved in initiatives focused on cultural connection, community engagement, supporting local families and community members, and creating opportunities for different cultural groups to come together.
He said the recognition is not only a personal honour but also a reflection of the people, volunteers, organizations and community members who continue to contribute to a stronger and more inclusive community.
“I believe our diversity is one of our greatest strengths,” Mogulala said. “When we support one another and celebrate each other’s cultures, we build a stronger community for everyone.”
Mogulala expressed his appreciation to Mayor Brenda Locke and the City of Surrey for recognizing the importance of community involvement and cultural engagement.
“One Community. Many Cultures. Stronger Together.”
