Surrey, BC – BC NDP MLAs Jagrup Brar (Surrey–Fleetwood) and Garry Begg (Surrey–Guildford) are celebrating a major healthcare milestone in Surrey, as Shoppers Drug Mart officially opens the doors to all seven of its new Pharmacy Care Clinics, announced earlier this year.

The clinics, which are now fully operational ahead of schedule, will significantly improve access to primary care services across Surrey—one of the fastest-growing communities in British Columbia.

“I’m pleased to welcome the new Pharmacy Care Clinic to Fleetwood,” said Jagrup Brar, MLA for Surrey–Fleetwood. “This initiative will enhance access to timely, community-based healthcare and support the wellbeing of families across Surrey. It’s encouraging to see partnerships like this bringing innovative services closer to home.”

Garry Begg, MLA for Surrey–Guildford, also welcomed the news, emphasizing the importance of expanding care options for Surrey residents.

The Pharmacy Care Clinics, staffed by specially trained pharmacists, are designed to provide convenient, frontline support for everyday healthcare needs—such as assessments and prescribing for minor ailments, vaccinations, and health screenings—without needing an appointment.

Locations of the newly opened clinics in Surrey include:

  • 7538 120th Street, Surrey, BC, V3W 3N1
  • 18677 Fraser Hwy, Surrey, BC, V3S 8E7
  • 5157 56 Avenue, Unit 100, Surrey, BC, V3S 9A5
