Calgary-Calgarians are speaking loud and clear. The latest urbacalgary poll—based on 2,036 responses—shows our campaign in first place, coming in at 41% for Jeff Davison to be the next Mayor of Calgary.
The viral post has reached well over 150,000 people. This wasn’t commissioned by our team, and the local Calgary media channel, @urbacalgary, has a massive online following, including over 270,000 Instagram followers alone.
This grassroots poll clearly demonstrates real people and real support.
By contrast, Jeromy Farkas continues to rely on small-sample, suspect polling. His latest Leger poll included fewer than 450 responses—barely a fraction of what’s needed to reflect a city of 1.3 million.
And let’s be clear: this wasn’t some independent exercise. The Farkas campaign clearly commissioned it, given they rushed out a polished press release promoting the results before media or the public had even seen the numbers, late on Sunday night. This desperate attempt to paint a false narrative for Calgary voters is deceptive and ignores that his own polling shows nearly half of Calgarians remain undecided.
The reality is, Farkas is relying on name recognition rather than the merits of his own campaign – one that continues to flip flop policies and ideologies from a candidate who is promising Calgarians to deliver on everything he voted against in his time on City Council.
Calgarians deserve better than insider games and small sample polling. They also deserve a Mayor who doesn’t abandon his core principles in favour of political opportunism. Our campaign is rooted in transparency, integrity, and the voices of everyday people.
