ਵੈਨਕੂਵਰ ਡਾਊਨਟਾਊਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਰੰਗਾਂ ਦੀ ਝਲਕ ਦਾ ਅਲਗ ਨਜ਼ਾਰਾ ਰਿਹਾ-
ਵੈਨਕੂਵਰ-ਵੈਨਕੂਵਰ ਸਥਿਤ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਕੌਂਸਲੇਟ ਜਨਰਲ ਨੇ 19 ਸਤੰਬਰ 2026 ਨੂੰ ਵੈਨਕੂਵਰ ਆਰਟ ਗੈਲਰੀ ਦੇ ਨੌਰਥ ਪਲਾਜ਼ਾ ਵਿਖੇ ‘ਨਮਸਤੇ ਕੈਨੇਡਾ 2026’ ਦੇ 9ਵੇਂ ਸੰਸਕਰਣ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ, ਜਿਸਨੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਰੰਗਾਂ, ਸੰਗੀਤ, ਸੁਆਦਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਪਰੰਪਰਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੈਨਕੂਵਰ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਤੱਕ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਇਆ। ਇਸ ਜਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਸੰਗੀਤ, ਡਾਂਸ, ਖਾਣ-ਪੀਣ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਤਜ਼ਰਬਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਦਿਨ ਲਈ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਭਾਈਚਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਇਸ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਵਿੱਚ 500 ਪ੍ਰਤਿਭਾਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਕਲਾਕਾਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ 30 ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰਕ ਸਮੂਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਮੂਲੀਅਤ ਕੀਤੀ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਰਵਾਇਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਧੁਨਿਕ ਸੰਗੀਤ ਅਤੇ ਡਾਂਸ ਪੇਸ਼ਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀ ਅਦਭੁਤ ਵਿਭਿੰਨਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ। ਹਰੇਕ ਸਮੂਹ ਨੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰਕ ਵਿਰਾਸਤ ਦੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਵਿਲੱਖਣ ਝਲਕ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਰੰਗਾਂ, ਆਵਾਜ਼ਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਸੁਮੇਲ ਬਣਿਆ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਤਰ-ਮੁਗਧ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
ਕੌਂਸਲ ਜਨਰਲ ਮਾਸਾਕੁਈ ਰੁੰਗਸੁੰਗ ਨੇ ਕਲਾਕਾਰਾਂ, ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰਕ ਸਮੂਹਾਂ, ਖਾਣ-ਪੀਣ ਦੇ ਵਿਕਰੇਤਾਵਾਂ, ਵਲੰਟੀਅਰਾਂ, ਭਾਈਵਾਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਦੇ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਦਿਲੋਂ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹ, ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਅਤੇ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦੀ ਸਫਲਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਪਾਇਆ।
ਇਸ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਮੂਲ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਭਾਈਚਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਕਈ ਸਿਆਸੀ, ਵਪਾਰਕ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰਕ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਿਰਕਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨੌਰਥ ਵੈਨਕੂਵਰ-ਸੀਮੌਰ ਦੀ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ (MLA) ਅਤੇ ਬੀ.ਸੀ. (BC) ਵਿੱਚ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਲੰਬੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੀ ਦੇਖਭਾਲ ਲਈ ਸੰਸਦੀ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਸੂਜ਼ੀ ਚੈਂਟ; ਬਰਨਬੀ ਈਸਟ ਦੀ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਰੋਹਿਣੀ ਅਰੋੜਾ; ਅਤੇ ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਣ-ਪੱਤਰਾਂ (International Credentials) ਲਈ ਸੰਸਦੀ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਤੇ ਵੈਨਕੂਵਰ-ਲੰਗਾਰਾ ਦੀ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਸੁਨੀਤਾ ਧੀਰ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਸਨ। ਆਪਣੇ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਵਿੱਚ, ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਚੈਂਟ ਨੇ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰਕ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਲਈ ਕੌਂਸਲੇਟ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁ-ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰਵਾਦ ਨੂੰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਕਰਨ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਬੀ.ਸੀ. ਦੀ ਵਚਨਬੱਧਤਾ ‘ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਦਿਨ ਭਰ 7,500 ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਮੂਲੀਅਤ ਕੀਤੀ, ਜੋ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਪਰੰਪਰਾਵਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਦਿਲਚਸਪੀ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਸਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮੰਚ ‘ਤੇ ਪੇਸ਼ਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਖਾਣ-ਪ ਇਸ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਆਕਰਸ਼ਣ ‘ਵਨ ਡਿਸਟ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਵਨ ਪ੍ਰੋਡਕਟ’ (ODOP) ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨੀ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਭਾਰਤ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਉਦਯੋਗ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਦਰੂਨੀ ਵਪਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਿਭਾਗ (DPIIT) ਅਤੇ ਕਬਾਇਲੀ ਮਾਮਲਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਮੰਤਰਾਲੇ ਅਧੀਨ ‘ਟ੍ਰਾਈਫੈਡ’ (TRIFED) ਦੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਚਾਰ ODOP ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਵੈਨਕੂਵਰ ਪਹੁੰਚੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ‘ਨਮਸਤੇ ਕੈਨੇਡਾ 2026′ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਕਾਰੀਗਰੀ, ਰਚਨਾਤਮਕਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰਕ ਵਿਭਿੰਨਤਾ ਦੀ ਝਲਕ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ। ਰਾਜਸਥਾਲੀ ਐਂਪੋਰੀਅਮ (ਜੈਪੁਰ), ਚਾਂਗਰਾ ਲੱਦਾਖ, ਆਰਟ ਆਫ਼ ਥੇਵਾ 1761 ਅਤੇ ਟ੍ਰਾਈਫੈਡ ਨੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਅਸਲ ਕਹਾਣੀਆਂ, ਪਰੰਪਰਾਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਰੀਗਰੀ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਤਾ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਸੈਲਾਨੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀ ਅਮੀਰ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰਕ ਵਿਰਾਸਤ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਨ, ਅਨੁਭਵ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਮਨਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਸਾਰਥਕ ਮੰਚ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੋਇਆ। ਪ੍ਰਵਾਸੀ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਹੱਥ-ਕਲਾ ਦੀਆਂ ਵਸਤਾਂ, ਹੱਥ-ਕਰਘੇ ਦੇ ਉਤਪਾਦਾਂ, ਕੱਪੜਿਆਂ, ਮਸਾਲਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਰਵਾਇਤੀ ਉਤਪਾਦਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨੀ ਲਗਾਈ; ਇਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਉੱਤਰ-ਪੂਰਬੀ ਭਾਰਤ, ਆਂਧਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਲੰਗਾਨਾ, ਮਨੀਪੁਰ, ਕਸ਼ਮੀਰ, ਬਿਹਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਝਾਰਖੰਡ, ਅਤੇ ਕੇਰਲ ਦੀਆਂ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰਕ ਝਲਕੀਆਂ ਵੀ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ।

Consulate General of India’s flagship event Namaste Canada 2026 Draws 7,500 Visitors
Vancouver-The Consulate General of India, Vancouver organized the 9th Edition of Namaste Canada 2026 on September 19, 2026, at the Vancouver Art Gallery North Plaza, bringing the colours, sounds, flavours and traditions of India to the heart of Vancouver. The celebration brought together people from across the community for a day filled with music, dance, food and shared experiences.
The event featured an impressive line up of 500 talented performers and more than 30 cultural groups, Namaste Canada 2026 who showcased the incredible diversity of India through a wide range of traditional and contemporary music and dance performances. Each group brought forth their unique interpretation of India’s cultural heritage, creating a tapestry of colours, sound and movement that captivated audience.
Consul General Masakui Rungsung expressed his sincere appreciation to the performers, cultural groups, food vendors, volunteers, partners and community members whose enthusiasm, support and hard work contributed to the success of the event.
The event was graced by attendance of many political, business and cultural leaders of Indian origin and other communities. Susie Chant, MLA for North Vancouver-Seymour and BC’s Parliamentary Secretary for Seniors’ Services and Long-Term Care; Rohini Arora, MLA Burnaby East; Sunita Dhir, Parliamentary Secretary for International Credentials, MLA for Vancouver-Langara, and MLA from Surrey. Ms Chant in her address commended Consulate for organizing such a vibrant cultural showcase and emphasizing BC’s commitment towards strengthening multiculturalism.
The event welcomed more than 7,500 visitors throughout the day, reflecting the wonderful enthusiasm and interest in India’s culture and traditions. From the performances on stage to the food, colours and interactions across the venue, the day was filled with energy and memorable moments shared by people of all ages and backgrounds.
A special highlight of the celebration was the One District One Product (ODOP) Showcase, organized in collaboration with India’s Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) and TRIFED, Ministry of Tribal Affairs. Four ODOP organizations travelled from different districts of India to Vancouver, bringing the spirit of Indian craftsmanship, creativity and cultural diversity to Namaste Canada 2026. Rajasthali Emporium, Jaipur; Changra Ladakh; Art of Thewa 1761; and TRIFED showcased the authentic stories, traditions and craftsmanship of India’s diverse regions, creating a meaningful platform for visitors to discover, experience and celebrate India’s rich cultural heritage. Diaspora organizations also featured beautiful displays of handicrafts, handlooms, textiles, spices and traditional products, along with cultural representations from North East India, Andhra Pradesh & Telangana, Manipur, Kashmir, Bihar & Jharkhand, and Kerala.
